There are few animals as polarizing as snakes. It seems like most people either love them, or hate them. Regardless of a person’s feelings about them, wild snakes are typically not a good thing to have around your home. While it’s true that most snakes are harmless, many people have reported being bitten by unintentionally startling a snake.

In order to keep your property free from snakes, it’s generally a good idea to make your property as inhospitable a place as possible – at least for reptiles. That means avoiding having rock piles or other materials that would make a good sunning station for snakes, keeping your grass at a reasonable height, and removing the snake’s source of food.

Of course, there are other methods that can be used for removing snakes from your property, but keeping these things in mind can help you avoid having them move into your neighborhood in the first place.
